PG&E must tap vast tech,
innovation resources here
Re: “PG&E power shutoffs roll across the Bay Area” (Mercurynews.com, Oct. 9):
With the sweeping power outages facing many parts of the Bay Area, I am astounded by the fact that no one is mentioning solutions and ways to improve the power line situation in California.
Underground power lines would not only prevent the pressing issue of wildfires, but it would also provide a more reliable power source for a large number of people living in vulnerable areas such as the mountains and farmlands.
In a state with such immense access to technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, why isn’t PG&E reaching out and utilizing the sources this place has to offer?Progressive innovation and sustainable choices are the factors that will make our planet remain the incredible place that it is.
Let’s encourage and persuade PG&E to make a real difference and real improvement.
